HEDNO's capacity map is reflective of the state of the DSO network. HEDNO is responsible for MV and LV levels of less than 20KV as well as a small share of HV network (218km of 150KV in the Attica region and 128km of 150KV in the Non-interconnected islands). Non-interconnected islands are not depicted in the capacity map. |

Hosting capacity assessment
| Capacity type considered for available hosting capacity information (e.g., Firm and/or Flexible) |
Firm |
| Description of what firm capacity means |
Firm capacity means the maximum level of injection into the grid from RES twenty-four hours a day, in state N of the grid. |
| Description of the aspects/methodology that leads to firm capacity results |
Network planning studies for RES (conducted using DIgSILENT) assume extreme operational scenarios regarding feeder load and generation, ensuring that steady-state voltage limits are strictly maintained across all network nodes. |
| Description of what flexible capacity means (if applicable) |
Not applicable for Greece yet. |
| Description for the criteria and methodologies used that lead to the published information |
The published information is taken from the RES database. At the end of each day, based on the requests that received an offer or connection contract, the power margin displayed on the national map is reduced. In addition, if there is a new transformer or reinforcement of the network, the thermal magin and the short-circuit level margin change accordingly. |
Additional information for connection request and hosting capacity information
| Connection request procedure |
Not Applicable |
| Available options for the investors if the map shows“no capacity available” in their interested area |
If the map shows 'no capacity available' there is no possibility for a new connection by the investors. In the future we consider the possibility of flexible connection. |
