Hosting capacity assessment
| Capacity type considered for available hosting capacity information (e.g., Firm and/or Flexible) | Firm |
| Description of the aspects/methodology that leads to firm capacity results | The available firm capacity is calculated at the substation level by adding or subtracting (depending on whether one considers generation or consumption) the 2nd or 98th percentile of the load recorded over the past twelve months, occasional extreme values being excluded, and subtracting the reserved and waitlisted capacites from the total installed transformer capacity. |
| Description for the criteria and methodologies used that lead to the published information | For electricity generation, grids are planned according to the N criteria, while for consumption, grid calculations are subject to the N-2 criteria on TSO- and the N-1 criteria on the DSO-level. |
| Additional information | Some specific aspects of our capacity calculation methodology are adressed in the FAQs on the website. |
Additional information for connection request and hosting capacity information
| Connection request procedure | To reserve injection or consumption capacity on the electrical network, each project developer must submit a formal request via the myCreos platform at my.creos.net. |
| Available options for the investors if the map shows “no capacity available” in their interested area | Contact DSO |
| Connection request rules/principles | First-come-first-serve |
| Information published for volumes of connection requests/waiting lines | Partly |
| Granularity of published connection requests/waiting lines (e.g., nodal, regional, per SO) | Nodal |

Connection request process
Each request for capacity reservation is subject to a detailed analysis, regardless of the available capacity shown on the public map. The assessment may include, in consultation with the project developer, flexible connection solutions (Flexible Connection Agreement) or, where applicable, network reinforcement solutions.
