Towards a more resilient and integrated electricity system: DSO Entity and ENTSO-E launch platform for joint initiatives alongside annual work plan
Brussels, 25 June – ENTSO-E and DSO Entity announce the launch of their new joint website, the TSO-DSO Cooperation Platform, a dedicated digital hub bringing together all major initiatives, projects, and resources developed through Transmission System Operator (TSO) and Distribution System Operator (DSO) cooperation. As the energy transition accelerates, closer TSO-DSO collaboration will be essential to support renewable integration, digitalisation, security of supply and a more integrated electricity market.
The launch took place during DSO Entity’s 5th Anniversary event, marking an important step forward in the long-standing collaboration between the two organisations, while coming alongside the publication of their Joint Work Plan 2026, which sets out the shared priorities and activities that will guide TSO-DSO cooperation in the upcoming months.
The new website consolidates years of joint work into a single, easily accessible platform, bringing together existing initiatives such as CapacityPedia, the DSO-TSO Technopedia, Electricity Data Interoperability Platform, and other collaborative joint activities serving as a one-stop shop for TSO-DSO cooperation that will continuously evolve throughout the years. The platform also features a dynamic TSO-DSO work plan that enables users to explore joint activities carried out by both associations, along with the key deliverables associated with each project.
"The launch of this joint website represents the natural next step in the strong partnership between ENTSO-E and DSO Entity," said Tahir Kapetanovic, Vice Chair of ENTSO-E. "By bringing our collective work together in one place, we are making cooperation more visible, more transparent, and more accessible for all stakeholders. Together, we are taking our cooperation to the next level and building a stronger foundation for the electricity system of the future."
"Our organisations have a nice history of working together, and this website makes that cooperation more visible for our members and stakeholders", said Torsten Maus, DSO Entity Chair of TSO-DSO Board Committee. "It provides a clear overview of our joint activities, be they the technical work of our joint working groups that derives from mandates received form the Electricity Market Regulation and other legislative and non-legislative acts, or knowledge sharing activities dedicated to advancing a secure, affordable, and sustainable electricity system.”
Over the years, ENTSO-E and DSO Entity have worked closely together to support the energy transition, facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources, and contribute to the development of a more efficient and resilient European electricity system.
As Europe's energy landscape continues to evolve, ENTSO-E and DSO Entity remain committed to strengthening their partnership and delivering coordinated solutions that support decarbonisation, security of supply, and an integrated electricity market.
